I saw some great TV growing up in the "space age"
60s. Movie
classics, such as "The Day the Earth Stood Still", and episodes
of
"The Twilight Zone", inspired me to assemble my very own
"flying
saucers" out of painted paper plates and fling them
skyward!
But, although I recall being intrigued by a 1966 LOOK
magazine
article about the Betty and Barney Hill "alien abduction", I
never
really believed it was TRUE...I always thought Hendrix was
joking
when he began his second album with that crazy "ET"
interview!
Then, in 1991, my brother Tim dropped off some books and
a
video about the "crop circle" phenomena in England. The
darn
things looked a bit too large, well-made, and just plain WEIRD
to have been the handiwork of ambitious nocturnal pranksters...
Moreover, luminous "orbs" the size of beachballs had been
filmed
hovering over fresh "crop circle" formations. In one shot,
taken
in broad daylight from a few yards away, I watched the sudden
intrusion of an RAF helicopter make a small glowing object
flee!
Further research at the library yielded a number of "UFO"
titles.
The books "Gulf Breeze Sightings" and "Above Top Secret", plus
some incredible footage from Paramount's "Sightings" TV show,
brought me to the conclusion that UFOs...(gulp)... are for
REAL!
Given all their fancy surveillance equipment, the Air Force
must
have detected this UFO presence by now. A massive cover-up is
taking place! But is the shocking truth being withheld simply
to
avoid creating a panic... or for a much more diabolical
reason? |
